Afraid, of the boogyman
i want to be scared again; it is a frightening pain,
it is sane.
With my feet i cannot stumble
my lips dare not mumble.
I have met a new ghost, to which disillusion fails to host;
this time it is not the boogyman!
It is fear:
as it tours my psyche
it tears me apart,
it is fear inside me
sucking my blood, playing 'my heart'. But unlike the heart,
its beating has no rhythym echoing, living,
but its presence is killing.

Slampotion: How the show works

The key factor about Slam is that the audience is the judge. They voice their opinion, vocally, by clapping and awarding scores.

Poets are judged for their performance ability as well as their writing ability.

We will use scorecards to award points to the points. At the beginning of the show a time keeper and a score keeper will be chosen. When poets go over time, they are penalised.

The highest and the lowest scores are thrown out. The poets with the lowest score are eliminated.
